Harry Potter Hot Butterbeer
‘Tis the season to enjoy all things warm! If you’re a Harry Potter fan you will definitely enjoy this delicious Hot Butterbeer recipe. Butterbeer at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it’s basically a fizzy butterscotch/toffee flavored cold drink with a marshmallow cream foam ontop. They’ve made many variations from frozen blended, cold, an ice cream float and my personal favorite, hot!
Keep it as a steamer for kids or add a shot of espresso and turn it into a latte. The best part? The Butterbeer mix is perfect to store in an airtight container and use as needed all throughout winter. It‘s also the perfect teacher/co-workers gift, or to share with family and friends. Take it a step further and make:
Butterbeer Hot Cocoa Bombs:
Just melt butterscotch chips and add to sphere molds.
Let the dome shaped molds brished with chocolate cool in the fridge until solid.
Once the chocolate domes are solid, remove from the molds gently.
Fill half of the domes with 2 tbsp of the Butterbeer Mix and some mini marshmallows.
Now take the other halves of the dome molded chocolates and one by one heat the edges by turning them over onto a warm plate or pan just for a second to get a clean melted edge.
Seal the top sphere over the bottom so they melt together to make a a full sphere.
You can drizzle more chocolate and toppings of choice to decorate.
Enjoy by pouring steamed milk over the Butterbeer Hot Cocoa Bomb and giving it a good mix.
Notes:
If you can’t find French vanilla instant pudding you can use vanilla.
The butterscotch instant pudding is essential to getting the right flavor for Butterbeer.
Butter flavoring/sprinkles can be found at any major grocery store in the popcorn isle.
