Italian Fig & Honey Cheese Tart
This Italian tart is the perfect ending to a great BBQ. It's rich, creamy texture against the delicious sweet honey and tart figs just leaves your tastebuds wanting more. And it helps that its not filled with sugar and is gluten free!
You start by melting half a stick of butter then adding it to a cup of almond flour and a tsp of agave nectar. It will be a crumbly texture and you want to just pat it into a thin layer in your 9 inch tart pan. Then just stick it in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown
Next you want to just mix your softened mascarpone cheese, sour cream, eggs, vanilla, lemon juice and agave nectar in a bowl until its well combined.
Now just pour it into your baked tart crust.
Smooth it out and then pop it back into the oven at 350 degrees again for 15 minutes or until it completely sets.
Next just slice up some fresh figs and decorate as desired and let it come to room temp. Then you will want to stick it in the refridgerator for atleast 2 hours or over night.
Before serving drizzle over some honey and i promise this will become a family favorite tart at your next BBQ. :)
